Art Show Featuring 7 Local Artists

We are having an Art Show with 7 local artists: Joyce
Butts, Andree Weimer, Sue Milhorn, John Pogacich, Donna
Turley and Jenna and Renee Britton.The show runs from
August 11th to August 28th, 2010.
A reception featuring the artists
will be held Saturday, August 14, 12:00 A.M. to 2:00
P.M. Three framed prints of John's pictures
will be given away as door prizes. Anyone coming to the
art show may take a chance on the print of their choice.

Martins Ferry Public Library Receives Computer Grant
The Martins Ferry Public Library was selected by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for a matching grant to replace patron computers. The library has matched the funds for the first year with a grant from the Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley and a donation from a bequest the library received. Donation jars are at all branch locations to help raise money for the second year match from the local communities in accordance with the wishes of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. |
