July 31
Family Night 6:00 PM

Note the change in time here. Our families are invited for lots of fun this evening to mark the end of our programs.

Participants are not required to attend all of the scheduled weekly programs. The Summer Reading Program is fundamentally about getting children interested in reading. All children will be eligible for weekly prize drawings.

There is no charge for the programs. They last about 45-60 minutes and all programs are open to the public.

To help us have a successful Summer Reading Program, please follow these guidelines:

  • If your child can't attend each week, that's fine. We know children are very busy in the summer and may be able to attend just a few sessions.

  • Be sure to check out library books to share with your child during the week.  We encourage pleasure reading during the summer to retain skills.

  • Let your child choose books that are interesting to him, even they are above or below his reading level.  We want our children to love books.  If the book is too easy for him, reading it is not going to hurt.  If it is too hard, you read part and have him read part.

  • Although we try to keep within the times listed, sometimes we are longer and appreciate your understanding.
